Spectrum - Dentsply Sirrona

Neo Spectra ST and Spectrum Universal (Microhybrid) are both direct restorative composites from Dentsply Sirona, but they represent different generations of filler technology, resulting in differences in handling, aesthetics, and shade matching. Neo Spectra ST is a newer, advanced nano-ceramic composite, while Spectrum is a traditional microhybrid.

• Neo Spectra ST: Features proprietary SphereTEC® filler technology. This technology uses spherical granules of submicron glass, which create a "ball-bearing" effect for excellent handling, high packability (in HV), or creaminess (in LV), with very low stickiness to instruments.

Neo Spectra ST: Features a simplified shading system using 5 "CLOUD" shades that cover the full 16-shade VITA range. It is noted for a superior "chameleon effect" (blending) and fast, high-gloss polishing.

• Spectrum Universal: A traditional microhybrid composite. It is a reliable, established material designed for routine, daily restorations, focusing on consistent, proven performance
